Neil Sedaka performs one of his best hits, Calendar Girl, in this scopitone. While I like this song, the scopitone can best be described as... awkward. awkward dancing, awkward costumes, awkward questions that must have been asked: "I had to dress like a bunny for April, so how come Shirley don't have to dress like a turkey for November?!" THOSE kinds of questions.

George McKelvey (winner of the National Sonny Bono Look-A-Like contest, 1965, 1966 and 1968) sings a lovely scopitone ballad about a guy and his girlfriend who have a fight and he ends up in a fallout shelter and the girlfriend doesn't. It's a protest song... that you can dance to!

There is something creepy about men wearing nothing but speedos and a Vespa while following Bobby Vee and his date... just sayin'. Dancer Millie Hamm is also seen in this one. She was almost made famous in Las Vegas Hillbillies!

Donna Theodore sings Experience Unnecessary, discussing how she'll settle for a guy who doesn't necessarily know what he's doing. The dancing by the couples in this film also proves the adage that newlywed couples only need one pair set of pajamas between the two of them. "She wants a man, not a mouse." Although not a terribly well-known name these days, Donna Theodore was an experienced entertainer in the 1960s, playing the Copacabana, the Fountainebleau Hotel, the Fairmont Hotel, and the El San Juan in Puerto Rico. Later she had a career in Broadway to some success.

Frankie Randall sings about a yellow-haired woman who came in on the last train from Memphis. The train design was as confusing as the trio of dancers jumping around town wearing nothing but yellow boots, tight blue pants, arm garters and a dickie... which as you can imagine was really inconvenient for the female member of the troupe. Alas, the local sheriff's brief romance with the yellow-haired woman ends with the sheriff, assisted, by the woman who is still not wearing a proper shirt, pulling the woman off to the pokey by a rope... guilty of being blonde under false pretenses.

Barry Young's One Has My Name, The Other Has My Heart is an example of that very narrow musical genre, the Cheating Song. This is the premier scopitone cheating song and the film does it justice. Barry sings about being married but wishes he wasn't. Features the Ol' Ball And Chain and it isn't a good advetisement for Wheaties!

Billie Lee Riley sings Red Dress in this scopitone.

Sonny King gets doused with water when his wife leaves him for putting letters on her underwear. He gets back at her in threesome and putting letters on the blanket.

Princess Leilani does the hula in the scopitone film which advises you to keep your eyes on the hands...

Vicki Carr belts out "Everything I've got belongs to you" in a film which includes really unrealistic street fighting scenes.
