The Rock a fire Explosion was an animatronic character band that played in Showbiz Pizza Place restaurants from 1980 to 1992. The characters in Rock a fire Explosion were various anthropomorphized animals, including a brown bear, a grey wolf, a silverback gorilla, and other species. They would perform medleys of classic rock, pop, and country music, as well as original compositions and comedic skits.

ShowBiz Pizza entertained guests through a large selection of arcade games, coin-operated rides, and animatronic stage shows as a way to provide a complete package of food and entertainment in the '80s."Make Eating Out Fun" was an unfortunate choice of headlines used in many of their advertising efforts which only made teens and probably some adults chuckle. This ShowBiz Pizza design includes the original logo along with a realistic vintage treatment to give it a genuine retro vibe.

ShowBiz Pizza Place, often shortened to ShowBiz Pizza or ShowBiz, was an American family entertainment center and restaurant pizza chain founded in 1980. ShowBiz Pizza restaurants entertained guests through a large selection of arcade games, coin-operated rides, and animatronic stage shows.

In the early 1980s, entertainment restaurants blossomed after the Chuck E. Cheese chain defined the genre. Their immediate success inspired a gaggle of imitators, all with kid-friendly mixes of pizza, video games, and animatronic characters who sang and danced as parents ate pizza and kids ran around like maniacs. Major Magic's All Star Pizza Revue was one such imitator which opened in 1983 in the Toledo, Ohio suburb of Sylvania and while most other chains in this space died off by the mid '90s, Major Magic marched along all the way until 2010 before finally retiring from service.

One of the best places to go when we were kids was Discovery Zone. They weren't everywhere, nor were they around for very long, but they were a blast to visit!

Growing up in the 80s, we were raised by the best live bands and entertainment.
