This Mayan and Aztec inspired sun design by artist Jeff Bartels has eight intricate rays that stretch out from the center of the pattern. The menacing mask at the center of the design has its eyes locked forward and tongue stretched out of its tooth filled mouth. Two-headed serpents sit inside of stylized rectangles on the four corners of the outer circle. This aggressive design is a striking homage to the beauty and mystery of Mayan art.
