Learned that Van Gogh got inspired by woodblock prints from Japan when making the "Starry Night" piece so it is fitting to make my own version of it in ukiyo-e esthetics. That is why the Great Wave and Starry Night resonates to me so much! The broken lines, swirls and repeated fast strokes is eminent in these two masterpieces.

Depicting Nobunaga tearing down a tent curtain decorated with the crest of his treacerous vassal Akechi Mitsuhide. Behind is the kamon of Oda clan, with calligraphy kanji of Oda Nobunaga, signature and seal of Kuniyoshi.
