The River Thames at Pangbourne. This is the scene just below the weir before it flows under the toll bridge at Whitchurch and on past Pangbourne Meadows. There has been a toll bridge here since 1792, the original being wooden. The present iron bridge was constructed in 1902 and has recently been refurbished. This image was captured on a bright afternoon in early February when the Thames was high and flowing fast.
