I went on a desert ride with my brother and a friend... a 1988 BMW GS is not the best bike for sand. However, it made it. After a few crashes by everyone and a couple broken ribs... I ended up with three bikes worth of gear. This is what it looked like. And yes, I rode out with all that through sand dunes, in the dark. When FUN becomes a 4 letter word!
