The most iconic image of Iceland! Sheeps are real queens of the island! This is a pattern I made drawing them on Ipad!

While walking to a hot spring, this sheep came running down the slope right at us. We captured this amazing photo just before it passed by.

December 12 – Stekkjastaur (Sheep-Cote-Clod) is the first Yule Lad who comes to town on the night before the 12th of December and also the first to depart for home on the 25th December. He was said to harass sheep, suck milk from them and was known for having two stiff peg-legs.

Icelandic sheep have been bred for a thousand years in a very harsh environment. They are breed for their wool and meat.
