Lundy Sunset Number of views as of 29th June 2018 = 1075. Lundy Island is the largest island in the Bristol Channel, lying 12 miles off the coast of North Devon, England. Three miles long and less than a mile wide, with fewer than 50 inhabitants, the whole island has been designated as an SSSI (Site of Special, Scientific Interest) and is managed by the Landmark Trust on behalf of the National Trust. This shot was taken from the village of Mortehoe, between Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. Date: 14th September 2013.

These beautiful Lundy ponies preening each other, A Welsh Mountain B strawberry roan stallion, 34 New Forest pony mares and eight foals, were acquired to start the Lundy pony breed. The Stallion only sired one colt which became a good breeding stallion and the breed was a success on Lundy. In the 1930's, with the herd getting to large for Lundy island, 50 were sold to the mainland. The whole herd was removed from Lundy in the 1980's but some mares and foals where later returned to the island.

This Monochrome image of Hartland point, Devon, was where the Johanna was came ashore on the 31st December 1982. Hartland Point lighthouse was opened 1st July 1874 and in 1984 the light house was automated. This is a beautiful view point of Hartlands Points rugged coastline and in the distance you can see Lundy Island.

Hartland Point, North Devon, England Number of views as of 20th November 2018 = 1225. Numerous ships have been wrecked on the dangerous and sometimes fog-bound cliffs around Hartland Point as the mighty Atlantic pounds the shoreline, exerting a pressure estimated at up to 4 tons per square foot. The lighthouse here was built by Trinity House in 1874, to guide shipping entering the broad mouth of the Bristol Channel. The awesome 325 foot high rocky outcrop towering above the lighthouse was known to the Romans as the 'Promontory of Hercules'. Lundy Island can be seen on the horizon a dozen miles away. Date: 8th April 2010.

Damehole Point, North Devon, England Number of views as of 19th June 2018 = 450. From Hartland Abbey, a footpath leads down the valley to a small, secluded beach. Climbing the hill to the north offers this view of Damehole Point (top left). Beyond Damehole (and not visible in this shot), lies Hartland Point lighthouse. Lundy Island can also be seen on the horizon (top centre). Date: 5th April 2010.
