When I took this image, I thought of a Preacher about to give his sermon at a Pulpit. However, in reality, this Little Black Cormorant is actually drying his wings after diving for food. Taken at Walka Waterworks in Maitland in the Hunter Valley.

A close-up of one of the clerestory windows installed Nov. 2016 in St Peter's Anglican Church, East Maitland, NSW. The figure is an interpretation in glass of the 1472 painting of St James by Carlo Crivelli. The Church itself is quite beautiful, with a wealth of stained glass. It was built by Edmund Blackett, a colonial architect, in the mid-1800's

The second window installed at St Peter's Anglican Church, East Maitland in Nov 2016, this figure is a remake of an Edward Burne-Jones design. Burne-Jones was a leading figure in the Pre-Raphaelite movement in Britain, associated with William Morris & Company. He made at least five versions of this design himself and while I have used colours to suit my own scheme here I have tried to remain as faithful as possible to the original work.
