On my 2019 visit to Tenby this was one of the first things I saw. Entering through the gate in the wall I was immersed in this short street of colourful tourist shops. Painted in oil on a 12x12 inch board

Another picture painted from my 2019 trip to Tenby in Pembroekshire, Wales. This one shows the colourful houses up close along Crackwell Street. For reference, the harbour is off to the right out of shot. I've painted this in oil on a 16x16 inch board using a wet on wet technique, one section at a time - about 12 hours work altogether.

For a change from the obvious view of Tenby I chose to do this as a night scene, based on photos I took a couple of years back. The colourful houses are still there, but now lit by streetlamps that bring a magical quality to the whole scene. Painted in oil on a 16x12 inch board (using a lot of prussian blue)

Tenby Beach - Pembrokeshire

A lovely, sunny day at Tenby Harbour in the Pembrokeshire National Park, Wales

Another of my paintings of beautiful Tenby. This view comes from the little ferry that takes you across to Caldey Island. I chose this angle as it shows much of the town spread across its bluff, and its a view you rarely see published. Painted in oil on a 20x8 inch board

This is a view of Tenby that I've repainted over an original version I did in 2004. Why do that you may ask - well I felt I could do it a lot better now after so many years experience. I'm certainly happy with this version, and hope you enjoy it too. The view is from the path that leads to the museum, and its glimpsed through a gap, with the harbour just beneath. The painting is 14x18 inches.

The old lifeboat station, in operation from 1905 until its replacement by the current station, which was completed in 2005 and houses the RNLI Tamar-class lifeboat Haydn Miller. Selective colouring has been applied to this image.

Tenby Harbour Boats During Georgian and Victorian times, Tenby became a popular seaside resort. The promenades on both sides of the old town on the Esplanade and the Norton both contribute to the outstanding architectural look of the town. The classic postcard view of Tenby harbour is from The Norton, a road that runs along the cliff top above North Beach.
