This Showtime drama focuses on the early years of King Henry VIII's nearly 40-year reign (1509-1547) of England. The series looks at Henry's famous female companions like Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn and delves into his relationships with important figures like Sir Thomas More, Cardinal Wolsey (head of the Catholic Church of England during its break with Rome) and Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk, who was Henry's best friend and unofficial adviser.

Catherine Parr was the sixth and final wife of King Henry VIII. She was the one know as "Survived"

Jane Seymour (c. 1508 – 24 October 1537), also known as Jane Semel,[2] was Queen of England from 1536 to 1537 as the third wife of King Henry VIII. She succeeded Anne Boleyn as queen consort following the latter's execution in May 1536. She died of postnatal complications less than two weeks after the birth of her only child, a son who became King Edward VI. She was the only wife of the King to receive a queen's funeral, and his only consort to be buried beside him in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Anne Boleyn was Queen of England from 1533 to 1536 as the second wife of King Henry VIII. Their marriage, and her execution for treason and other charges by beheading, made her a key figure in the political and religious upheaval that marked the start of the English Reformation.

Catherine Howard was the 5th wife of King Henry VIII. She was the second of Henry's wives to be beheaded.

Have you ever girl bossed a little too close to the sun? Do you feel spiritually close to Lady Jane Grey? The queen of England for just nine days! Who took the throne (at the insistence of her father and husband) and tried to over throw bloody mary? Who then went to her death before her 20th birthday, whose execution was so cruel we still discuss it to this day? No? Just me? ok....
