Artwork for a fake inlay for a real, (free), 8 bit game I made a couple of years ago. Loosely based on the Evil Dead films, obviously. The player controls a teddy bear who is trying to escape a toy box in order to comfort his crying baby owner. Teddy's job is to arrange building blocks in a certain order in the shelf at the top of the screen, allowing him to escape the toy box. On escaping one box Teddy finds himself in another toy box, escape from which is more difficult; there are 99 toy boxes in total from which to escape.

The ZX Spectrum is remembered for its rubber keyboard, small compact size and distinctive rainbow motif. It was originally released in 1982 with 16 KB of RAM for £125 Sterling or with 48 KB for £175, these prices were later reduced to £99 and £129 respectively.Owners of the 16 KB model could purchase an internal 32 KB RAM upgrade. Later issue machines required the fitting of 8 dynamic RAM chips and a few TTL chips.

As the last human left on the fortress planet of Roolfhtenin it is your mission to delay the evil forces of Crabok for as long as possible. You have three laser bases at your disposal with which to shoot the hoards, but the longer you survive the faster the aliens will attack with waves of dive-bombing ships. They have unlimited forces; all you can do is buy time.

Eskimo Eddie is an arcade adventure set in the Ice Age. Percy Penguin has been captured by a polar bear named Growler. You must navigate a series of platforms while jumping over snowballs that Growler throws at him.

The Commodore 64 was a bestselling, 8-bit home computer from the 1980s. It was created by Commodore International, and it entered the market in 1982. Around 17 million units are believed to have been sold. The Commodore 64 is often credited with making personal computers popular amongst the masses. This quality sparked comparisons with the Ford Model T. The Commodore 64 was offered at relatively low prices and was available in malls, department stores, and toy stores instead of solely in the shops of authorized dealers.

The game starts where Dan lands his airship on the top of the evil Dr Blitzen's hideout. The aim of the game is to find eight sticks of dynamite that are placed randomly around the playing area whilst avoiding the perils of the game such as moving monsters, drowning and falling from great heights. Once Dan has all eight sticks of dynamite, the player must make their way to the central safe to blow it open and steal the plans for the evil doctor's Death Ray and escape to his airship.

These markings appear on a vintage microchip made by the company Zilog. The famous Z80 CPU was used in many machines, most notably the Sinclair ZX-Spectrum range, but was used in many more. The chip is still manufactured today!

Before Battletoads, batrachian aficionados spent their time honing their amphibian-based skills in Ocean Software’s Cosmic Wartoad. The queen of the cosmic wartoads had been taken by the Rygellian Slime Beasts, turned into a human and was being held captive beneath the Slime King's Sludge Saw. As the game’s protagonist, you would battle your way across the Rygellian Timevoid, collecting pieces of an important toolkit to shut down the saw before your queen was subjected to a rather violent, brief and untimely end.
