I visited the Barbican twice on a recent trip to London. Once on an overcast day and then, spontaneously, once on a sunny day. This is from the sunny day

Late last year I was in london for a couple of days, I planned to visit the barbican once... it was dark and overcast, so waited for dusk and blue hour. The next day was sunny so I went back again... I love both sets of photos for different reasons

Black and white Barbican Centre / Center. Still one of my favourite buildings in the whole world. Amazing concrete brutalism. Wonderful public spaces too.

The Barbican is the name now given to the western and northern sides of the old harbour area of Plymouth, Devon, England. It was one of the few parts of the city to escape most of the destruction of The Blitz during the Second World War. Two or three streets still retain some of the architecture of an old fishing port.
