Aged Okinawan fighter still has many tricks up his sleeves. Like ginger, he becomes more potent with age.

He helps his uncle run the chain of karate dojos in Okinawa and is also an enforcer to collect and cheat from local farmers. The summer of 1986, he will meet his rival, a young man from New Jersey who will snatch his honor from him.
