What do you think of the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre? I'll be honest – I'm dead against it. I mean, people forget that traders need access to Dixons. They do say it'll help people in wheelchairs.

The Centre Pompidou is a complex building in the Beaubourg area of the 4th arrondissement of Paris, near Les Halles, rue Montorgueil, and the Marais. The imposing buildings in the centre of Stockholm are dominated by the 5 star Grand Hotel. Opened in 1874 it has 300 rooms and 31 suites, often occupied by famous visitors to Stockholm. Since 1901, the Nobel Prize laureates and their families have traditionally been guests at the hotel, as well as several celebrities and world leaders. Desert City looks at the possibility of huge numbers having to live in these controlled-environment cities in the future. Can the existing productive farmed area support the predicted future ever increasing rate of population growth?
