I drew this from a photograph taken by Myself in May 2013. The Harbour at Crail is a working Harbour and this image was taken at low-tide. The Scenic nature of the Village contributes towards it's popularity with Visitors to Fife and, indeed, Scotland. I first visited Crail in the 1970s and it is just as picturesque Today as 35+ Years ago.

Pencil drawing. I used various Grades of Drawing Pencil and a Photograph of Crail taken whilst on Holiday in 2013. Crail is a fishing Village which is very popular with Visitors to Fife. It's scenic nature inspired the detail of this drawing which features a Coastal Path which was flanked by a rocky Shoreline. The Harbour, which is a working Harbour, lies on the other side of the turreted Tower in the Distance. I first visited Crail in the 1970s, and it remains as Scenic Today as it did 35+ Years ago... :)

The Picture features a National Trust Property from an area known as the "Hie Gait" which overlooks the Firth of Forth. The Tower in the background is "St Serf's" Tower which is several hundred Years old. Drawn June 2014.

This boat which is moored for ongoing maintenance caught my eye whilst on a recent trip to St. Monans, Fife.

Coastal waves pouring over the lovely little zig zag pier at St Monans Harbour, St Monans, sometimes spelt St Monance, is a village and parish in the East Neuk of Fife and is named after the legendary Saint Monan.

Pittenweem, Fife, Scotland. Pittenweem is now the most active of the fishing ports in the East Neuk coast of Fife. Fishing boats jostle for position in its busy harbour and this is a lively vibrant place at any time of day. To add to the atmosphere, visitors can watch the fish market conducted in the sheds on the harbour from 8.00am each morning. This village is the only one in the East Neuk, still with a working harbour. Although there are fewer boats sailing from here now than in days gone by, it is a unique opportunity to see the daily landings and early morning market. Pittenweem fresh fish is bought here and sold by the many local fish vans who travel all over Scotland selling the fish. BEST VIEWED LARGER
