Another addition to my art collection of famous cities. This time it is the Catalonian town of Girona. This medieval town is famous because of its beautiful buildings and many points of interest. Even the world famous series Game of Thrones was partially filmed in Girona, including the Cathedral of Santa Maria and the Arab Baths, which were used as filming locations for the show's sixth season. Girona's medieval architecture and historic streets provided a perfect backdrop for the series' fictional world of Westeros. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.

Girona is a city in northern Catalonia, Spain. The city is located 99 km northeast of Barcelona. This beautiful town is famous all over the world. Magnificent architecture, parks, Catalan traditions, friendly people, delicious food, wine, Catalan beer. The city attracts tourists with its unique atmosphere of ease of being. In addition, some famous films and series were filmed in this city. I tried to convey the pleasant atmosphere of the city on the canvas. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.

Tossa de Mar is a municipality in Catalonia, Spain, located on the coastal Costa Brava, about 103 kilometres north of Barcelona and 100 kilometres south of the French border. Tossa de Mar has three main beaches. This place is considered one of the most beautiful on the Mediterranean coast. It is this town that many poets, musicians and artists dedicated their works to. Empuriabrava (Ampuriabrava) is a community in the municipality of Castelló d'Empúries, in the Alt Empordà (Costa Brava, province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain). It is located in the Gulf of Roses, surrounded by the Natural Park of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà, and is the largest residential marina in Europe. Originally built on a swamp, Empuriabrava was transformed into a tourist community, initially planned in 1964 and completed in 1975. The town has more than 40 km of canals and a seasonal, summer population of around 80,000. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.

The Dali Theatre and Museum is a museum dedicated to the great european artist Salvador Dalí in his home town of Figueres, in Catalonia, Spain. Salvador Dalí lived there from 1984 to 1989, and is buried in a crypt below the stage. This is one of the most famous places in Spain and Catalonia. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.

The canvas depicts the famous canals of the city of Empuribrava, which is located in the Catalan province of Girona (Spain). The lower part of the artwork depicts water and a pier (left). On the right are the boats. Tall palm trees are visible in the distance. The background is a multi-colored sky at sunset. The artist tried to convey the beauty of the place. To achieve this goal, the author of the artwork used a painstaking technique, involving the study of details and serious work on the color scheme. Particular attention was paid to the water surface and reflections. Varnished and signed.

The painting shows the Catalan (Spanish) city of Empuriabrava. This town is known for its canals and a large resort area. Empuriabrava is divided into many small districts. One of them is depicted on the canvas. Almost all houses have access to water. Many have private moorings. This place has its own special flavor and spirit. This work is filled with bright colors and has an extremely positive message. Oil, canvas. Varnished. Signed.

It was this view that truly made me realise that I was in Spain. Such a colourful place!
