The isle of Eigg is a small Scottish island in the inner hebrides famous for its inhabitants generating their own needs including electricity from renewable resources like wind, solar etc. The island had just over 100 inhabitants and has over 10 000 visitors a year.

Iona Abbey & Nunnery is an Abbey located on the tiny island of Iona, just off the Isle of Mull. One of the oldest Christian religious centres in Western Europe, dating back to 563 it was established when St Columba came to Iona from Ireland and remains a popular site of Christian Pilgrimage today.
