Sunlight through the woodland trees shines on a path showing a way through the bluebells in this Spring bluebell wood in County Durham. Bluebells are always a sign of ancient woodland. How many generations have walked this path in Spring ?

The famous bridge over the River Tyne. The Tyne Bridge is just one of many bridges cross the Tyne River in Newcastle upon Tyne but this is certainly the most well known and the shape of the bridge is often seen used as an icon of the North East.
