This is a drawing done for the Community Reach Center in my hometown. It is apart of the Semicolon Project that promotes suicide prevention and mental health awareness. A pause in life but not an end. We can climb out of negativity and find solace.

What does the popular semicolon tattoo on the net mean? The semicolon tattoo is the tattoo of hope and 'SemiColon project' ('Punto y Coma Project') is the organization behind this initiative. A semicolon, in grammar, means the separation of two parts of a statement related to each other. It has a higher value than the comma, but less than the point and, therefore, is endowed with continuity. Statistics tell that every 12.8 minutes a person decides to end his life in the world. In this sense, the semicolon tattoo becomes a permanent reminder to those who do it that they have chosen to bet and continue with life.
