The International Harvester Scout is an off-road vehicle produced by International Harvester from 1961 to 1980. A precursor of more sophisticated SUVs to come, it was created as a competitor to the Jeep, and it initially featured a fold-down windshield. The Scout and second-generation Scout II were produced in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as two-door trucks with a removable hard top with options of a full-length roof, half-cab pickup, and/or soft top.

The Scout 80, which was produced from 1961 to 1965, was the first model of the Scout line. It was a rugged, 4x4 vehicle that was designed for use in a variety of off-road conditions. It was equipped with a variety of features to help it perform well in the great outdoors, including high ground clearance, large tires, and a strong, reliable engine. The Scout 80 II was available in a variety of configurations, including a soft top, a hard top, and a pickup truck. It was powered by a 4-cylinder or a 6-cylinder engine and had a manual or a automatic transmission. It was designed for off-road use and it has a solid axles and leaf spring suspension.
