Rockham Bay & Bull Point, North Devon Number of views as of 23rd January 2018 = 610. Along the South West Coast path between Woolacombe and Ilfracombe (North Devon, England). This stretch runs from Morte Point near the attractive village of Mortehoe to the lighthouse at Bull Point and then eastwards towards Ilfracombe. Date: 14th September 2013.

Diesel Railcar Number of views as of 17th July 2018 = 650. Diesel 'Railcars' or Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs) such as this one began to replace steam engines on the British railway network in the late 1950s. This particular unit is a class 117 and is pictured at Cheltenham Racecourse station on the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway. 123 of these units were built by the Pressed Steel Company from 1959 onwards, and some remained in service with British Rail until the year 2000. Powered by two Leyland diesel engines and capable of a maximum speed of 70 miles per hour, the standard configuration was to run two powered units, back to back, with an un-powered carriage in the middle. Bristol Cross & St Peter's Number of views as of 7th July 2017 = 600. The Bristol High Cross & St Peter's Parish Church, Stourton, Wiltshire, England. Some 40 feet high, the High Cross was originally erected at a main crossroads in the city of Bristol in 1373. The cross was a monument to four kings of England - Edward III, Edward IV, Henry III and King John. Later 4 more statues were added - those of Charles I, Queen Elizabeth I, Henry VI and James I. By 1733, the Cross was considered by some to be something of an obstruction to the thoroughfares of the city, so it was moved to College Green and rebuilt on land owned by Bristol Cathedral. Lighthouse, Portland Bill Number of views as of 28th May 2018 = 650. The distinctive red and white striped lighthouse at Portland Bill (Isle of Portland, Dorset, England) was built in 1906 and is 35 metres (115 feet) high. The Trinity House operated structure was the third lighthouse to be built at Portland Bill to protect shipping from the shallow reef and tidal race conditions surrounding the headland. Nearby Portland harbour was the venue for the 2012 Olympic sailing events. Date: 19th February 2012.

Boscombe Pier Number of views as of 21st June 2018 = 650. Boscombe lies a couple of miles to the east of Bournemouth, Dorset on the south coast of England. The Boscombe Pier Company was formed in 1886 and construction of the town's pier commenced in 1888. The first pile was driven into the sea bed by Lady Shelley, daughter-in law of the poet Percy Shelley. Simply designed as a promenade deck with a landing stage at the head, the 600ft (183m) wood and iron pier was opened by the Duke of Argyll on 29th July 1889 at a cost of around £12,000. It was sold to Bournemouth Corporation in 1904. Palladian Bridge, Stourhead, May 2012 Number of views as of 24th August 2015 = 600. This image is not for sale. Another shot from a visit to the wonderful Stourhead Gardens, in the county of Wiltshire, England, surely one of the finest landscaped gardens in the land. This shot features the Palladian Bridge and the Pantheon Temple (across the lake in the distance). The gardens were created by Henry Hoare II (1705–1785), known as Henry the Magnificent, who was a prosperous English banker (some things never change). At least his creation can now be enjoyed by all. Date: 6th May 2012.

Axle Deep Number of views as of 27th March 2017 = 660. I thought this old tractor, abandoned on a farm in the English county of Herefordshire, was worth a shot or two. Powderham Castle Number of views as of 17th September 2018 = 660. Powderham Castle, six miles south of Exeter (Devon, England) is the ancestral home of the Courtenay family, the Earls of Devon. A Grade 1 listed building, parts of the castle date from the late 1300s, but it was also extensively modified in the 18th and 19th centuries. Date: 14th April 2015.

Knowlton Church Number of views as of 5th March 2017 = 650. The ruins of Knowlton Church, 2 miles south of Cranborne in Dorset are surrounded by late Neolithic earthworks, believed to have been constructed around 2500 B.C. The Church itself is in the Norman style and was built between the 12th and 14th centuries A.D. The village of Knowlton was once a thriving community, but the population was wiped out in 1485 by the spread of 'Black Death' or 'Bubonic Plague'. Some people even say that the Church is haunted! *Sunshine On Leith* (Well, Newhaven to be precise). Number of views as of 8th May 2019 = 630. Newhaven harbour, on the Firth of Forth, was founded in 1504 by King James IV of Scotland as a royal dockyard. It became an important fishing village, famous initially for oysters and later herring. An indoor fish market was built here in 1896 and is still in use today. Newhaven is situated on the Firth of Forth, near Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland. Date: 14th August 2008. Aldeburgh Number of views as of 25th June 2017 = 600. Aldeburgh is a small seaside town in the county of Suffolk on the east coast of England. Fishing boats are launched from the shingle beach and the catch is sold from huts on the sea front (right of shot). This shot shows the War Memorial and its attractive gardens, whilst the building with two tall chimneys is the ancient Moot Hall where the Town Council still convenes. Date: 29th July 2013.

The Knightwood Oak Number of views as of 9th March 2016 = 600. The Knightwood Oak is the largest and possibly the oldest oak tree in the New Forest, Hampshire, southern England. It is also known as the Queen of the Forest. It is over 500 years old and has a girth of 7.38 metres (24.2 ft). The tree is still growing. It was pollarded when about 200 years old and is thought to have been last pollarded about 150 years ago. Pollarding is a method of tree management, which was used throughout the New Forest in ancient times. A pollarded tree is one that has been cut a couple of metres above ground level, promoting outward growth of fresh branches rather than the single main trunk continuing upwards, thus forcing growth of numerous new branches...

Clovelly, North Devon, England Number of views as of 10th April 2018 = 600. A steep, cobbled street (originally built using pebbles from the beach and far too steep for motor vehicles) leads 'down-along' between white-painted cottages to the small harbour at Clovelly on the North Devon coast, one of my favourite places in Devon. The village has no individually-owned houses, the whole village being owned and maintained by a single family. Once a bustling fishing port, bringing in herring and mackerel, the Clovelly area was also rife with smuggling, wrecking and piracy.
