The coastline of North Cornwall is a photographer's delight. The ocean has pounded away at the edge of this land to form fascinating coves, headlands, cliffs, bays, etc. to provide spectacular scenery. This image is of Trebarwith Strand at high tide. The tidal fluctuations are great on this stretch of coast. At low tide, a wide beach (strand) opens up, one that is popular with surfers, but at high tide, the waves break against the rocky cliffs. Here the waves break against the rocky shore just by Trebarwith village. The waves rush in and will soon envelop the very point where I stand. The air is full of ocean breezes, and the sound of the onrushing water gives a wonderful sense of excitement. It's beautiful beyond compare.

A beautiful calm morning near Seaton Sluice in Northumberland on the North East coast of England just after the sunrise and as the tide was retreating to capture the gold, pink and blue of the morning sky on the wet sand.

A beautiful golden winter sunrise off the coast of Northumberland. The image was taken on the stretch of beach between Blyth and Seaton Sluice in late October looking south towards St Mary's Island which can be spotted on the horizon together with a passing tanker. The sun is partially hidden behind cloud, but is beautifully reflected in the wet sand and the waters of the North Sea.

Nestled on the Bluff is an art print I created using a sketching and watercolor technique. This technique uses sketched strokes to define the subject and then filled in with a watercolor look. This particular art print depicts a house on a bluff above the Pacific Ocean along the rugged Oregon coastline.
