Eve Sin T-Shirts

Inspired by the story of Adam and Eve who were tempted by the snake to eat from the apple of the Tree of knowledge of good and evil, thus condemning mankind to become sinful. The snake is represented by the leaf and Adam and Eve by the bite they took from the apple.

According to legend, Lilith was Adam's first wife, created at the same time and from the same earth as he was. She would, however, eventually abandon both her marriage and husband after refusing to become subservient to him. Eve was then created from Adam's rib to be both his new wife and companion, but unfortunately, she succumbs to the Serpent's temptation and eats the forbidden fruit from off the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Eve shares the fruit with her husband, and as a result, the first humans are cursed and expelled from the Garden of Eden by God forever for their disobedience.

Lilith is a character in Jewish mythology found earliest in the Babylonian Talmud, and is generally thought to be related to a class of female demons. In Jewish folklore, Lilith was Adam's first wife, who was created at the same time and from the same earth as he was. Lilith abandoned both her husband and marriage after refusing to become subservient to Adam. She was subsequently cursed by God for her disobedience when she would not return to the Garden of Eden after an affair with the archangel, Samael.

I was impressed by Kate Moss. She expressed the severity of knowledge in way like she totally burnt out in one moment.

Here is my latest painting "Eve". This was a challenge since I really dislike snakes. I eventually want to paint Medusa So this was a little warm up for that. Eve in the garden of Edan wearing an abalone shell tied with blades of grass and surrounded by roses and apple blossoms. This was taken from a pose of myself holding a red delicious apple.
