An infrared photo of a (originally blue and white striped) crocus spring flower. Since colors are pretty much disappearing in infrared light, this flower - Which can therefore be found as a non-infrared photo in my shop - is now pale blue, with all green around it having pretty much turned to white.

Avery Island's Jungle Gardens are planted with azaleas, Japanese camellias, hydrangeas, Louisiana irises, palms, papyrus sedges, bamboo, and wisteria. Four miles of gravel roads are lined with live oak trees and Spanish moss. There are also many walking paths. There are numerous American alligators, Louisiana black bears, and white-tailed deer also inhabit the island, in addition to coypu, North American river otters, muskrats, snakes, and other wild animals.

Seated in historic uptown New Orleans Audubon Park is a favorite spot for recreation, picnics or enjoying a beautiful day. For more than a century, people have enjoyed this urban oasis with allées of ancient live oaks, a tranquil 1.8-mile jogging path, a lagoon, picnic shelters, and playgrounds.
