Koala Mum T-Shirts

Been waiting weeks for this baby Koala to emerge from its mum's pouch. Today was the day! Mum was very protective and tried to keep baby on her lap, but it wriggled free. Healesville Sanctuary, Victoria, Australia.

There is something about a koala huddle that make me feel warm and safe. Though a wild animal, the circle, the fluff and a baby, congers feelings of motherhood. Makes me think of my mother and my role as a mum. Cute Australian animals are always enjoyable to look at and even more so in a Black and white drawing as the cartoon feeling of fun sneaks in. The original drawing was created using an old-school dipping pen and ink. The cartoon feel comes from the artist's years spent drawing for Walt Disney
