It's no coincidence that these lens flares occur - it is a matter of precisely controlling parameters to create such a subject matter... Granted some lenses produce much more stark - even brilliant lens flare, yet - it is still a matter of controlling the amount of light entering the lens and angle of incidence in particular... This image I have called "The Soviet Star" although the sun doesn't belong to the Russians... the lens which created such rainbow colours was and is now mine!!! :D I believe it is the parameters of the lens and the multi-coating which creates such characteristics - accentuated in post ~ of course! :P Sony A7

How many of you know that the Rubik’s cube is the world’s top selling puzzle game and also widely considered to be the world’s best-selling toy of all time? A Hungarian sculpture and professor in architecture, Erno Rubik, invented the Rubik cube in 1974. In the beginning is was called the Magic Cube but since then it got other names as well. Since January 2009 it is estimated that 350 million cubes had been sold worldwide and it still is a top seller today. This puzzle toy lead to many worldwide competitions and world records. I am sure most of you bought or played with a Rubik cube once. I created this Rubik cube in a Snow Globe to give it another 3D dimension and an artistic appearance to it.

I'd been watching a video log on shooting waves and the chap mentioned about getting low... Thought that I'd use the same approach to get low on the whistling sands of my local beach... As the sun was setting I used a very fast vintage piece of glass, along with low ISO and low exposure. The aperture and time value was locked in as for convenience I was shooting Program mode and metering, I think was left on multi... This is the sunset and sand exposure that was produced... I've played around with basic settings on the computer... highlights, black point, sharpness and definition and not much else... The lens flare was something to be expected and appreciated rather than not - as personally I think it adds some originality to the...
