This was my first design I created for the Little Earthquakes era on TAD, but ultimately I went in favor of something more recognizably tied to the album. However, there is a lyric inspiration from a beautiful Little Earthquakes B-side called "Thoughts". Here's an excerpt: "Thoughts right now/I'm never here./I am never, never a bird/In the flower/in the tree" This design will always have a special place in my heart and I wanted to make it available to you all here. ***** All proceeds from the sales made go to RAINN (Rape Abuse Incest National Network), and rape crisis center that was founded in part by Tori. The imagery on this album was the best of any since Scarlet in my opinion, and this photo of her standing captured such strength, poise, and a sense of being unapologetic. I wanted to represent the great works of art Tori spoke about as her inspiration for the songs by creating a figure of her exploding with color and paint -- or being formed by the paint, depending on your perspective.***** All proceeds from the sales made go to RAINN (Rape Abuse Incest National Network), and rape crisis center that was founded in part by Tori. Sticky labels from largely now gone record stores

Specialty Records was an American record label founded in Los Angeles in 1945 by Art Rupe. It was known for rhythm and blues, gospel, and early rock and roll, and recorded artists such as Little Richard, Guitar Slim, Percy Mayfield, and Lloyd Price. Rupe established the company under the name Juke Box Records but changed it to Specialty in 1946 when he parted company with a couple of his original partners. Rupe's daughter, Beverly, restarted the label in the 1980s. The record label was sold to Fantasy Records in 1991 and is now part of the Concord Music Group. The music publishing unit was sold to Sony/ATV Music Publishing.
