The Druids and the Stone Circle

The first outdoor Sanatorian Temple that was built by me, Sanatore Silvarum, in October 2010 for my very own handfasting to my wonderful husband! Many wonderful rituals and healing circles have been performed on this ground and this is a "sacred site" to many who have stood in this circle countless times.

Choosing a name when forming a music project or band is believed to be always difficult. The use of "The" in the name prefix for a band is one of the simplest and most interesting choices to be decided by consensus.

The philosophers stone in the middle which represents enlightenment, and perfection in alchemy. The stone is then surrounded by the three primes, namely sulfur (symbolizing the mind), mercury (the spirit) and salt (the body). The outer circles are: Copper (symbol embodies such characteristics as love, balance, beauty, and artistic creativity.), silver (associated with the moon, holds attributes of intuition, inner wisdom, and contemplation. ), gold (represents perfection in all matter, on any level) , iron (represents a need to temper primal urges), antimony (represents animal tendencies found in humankind – a wild nature in all of us) and tin (philosophically viewed as the breath of life.)

The stones... They call to us to let us know there is a sense of purpose greater than that of the modern world. The connectedness to nature. The earthiness of being grounded. Stone Circle at Avebury. Avebury is known for its standing stones: a circle within which the village has been partly built. The Neolithic henge monument, constructed around 2600 BC, contains three stone circles, in Wiltshire, in southwest England. Unique amongst megalithic monuments, Avebury contains the largest stone circle in Europe, and is one of the best known prehistoric sites in Britain. It is both a tourist attraction and a place of religious importance to contemporary Pagans. Canon EOS, zoom lens.

Avebury Stone Circle is apparently the largest in Britain, and even boasts a pub inside it - although I doubt that it was part of the original plan!

In Maori legend, the closed circle is said to represent the circle of life, which has no beginning or end. It also tells of the stars and planets.
