Takeshi no Chōsenjō (たけしの挑戦状, lit. Takeshi's Letter of Challenge), officially translated as The Ultimate Challenge from Beat Takeshi and popularly known as Takeshi's Challenge, is a Japanese action-adventure video game for the Family Computer (known internationally as the Nintendo Entertainment System) developed by Taito Corporation. Though other video games bearing the names of Japanese celebrities had been developed prior to Takeshi no Chōsenjō, comedian-turned actor and film director Takeshi Kitano (Beat Takeshi) was the first celebrity to actively contribute to the video game's development.

The series takes place over 350 years in the future, in the year 2384. In the future, people's consciousnesses are contained in "stacks", storage devices attached to the back of a person's neck. Physical bodies are turned into "sleeves", mere disposable vessels. Takeshi Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman), a violent mercenary, wakes up 250 years after his sleeve is killed, and he is given the choice to either spend the rest of his life in prison for his crimes, or help solve the murder of the wealthiest man in the world (James Purefoy). Takeshi was the sole surviving soldier of those defeated in an uprising against the new world order 250 years prior.

A cyberpunk version of 'I woke up like this".

Takeshi is the youngest in a long line of Japanese whiskey brewers. When his older brother refused to run Whiskers, the whiskey bar attached to the brewery, Takeshi offered to take it over for their aging father. His father, not wanting the family business to die, reluctantly accepted, though he found Takeshi's tattoos and laid-back attitude unsavory. But something amazing happened once Takeshi took over; lines began forming nightly at Whiskers, buzz about this bar that played Ghibli Jazz covers began to spread across social media, with plenty of chatter about its handsome new bartender who sported sleeves of ink.

'Takeshi Kovacs: The Last Envoy', design inspired by the cyberpunk science fiction tv series 'Altered Carbon'.

Set in a future in which interstellar travel is effected by transferring consciousnesses between bodies ("sleeves"), Altered Carbon follows the attempt of Takeshi Kovacs, a former U.N. elite soldier turned private investigator, to investigate a rich man's death for him. This Altered Carbon design includes the title and "no body lives forever" tagline set in Japanese Kanji along with the iconic helix mark. This version is a vintage style with plenty of wear and tear, but I've also got a clean version as well.
