The 11th Field Artillery Regiment is a Field Artillery Branch regiment of the United States Army first formed in 1916. A parent regiment in the U.S. Army Regimental System, one battalion of the regiment is currently active, the 2nd Battalion, 11th Field Artillery Regiment assigned to the 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division.

The 45th Fires Brigade is a modular field artillery brigade of the United States Army headquartered in Mustang, Oklahoma. It is a part of the Oklahoma Army National Guard. The unit was again redesignated 45th Fires Brigade in 2008 with the implementation of Army Transformation. Just as the 45th IBCT and the 90th Troop Command, the brigade retained the shoulder sleeve insignia of the 45th Infantry Division, only designing and approving its own SSI in 1997.

On 16 September 1941, the 45th Infantry Division was federalized from state control into the regular army force. It was one of four National Guard divisions to be federalized, Assigned to the division were the 158th, 160th, 171st, and 189th Field Artillery Battalions. On 1 September 1950, the 45th Infantry Division was activated as the first National Guard division to be deployed to Korean War.

The 2nd Infantry Regiment was originally constituted as the 6th Infantry in the Regular Army on 12 April 1808, the same date that both of its eventual constituent Battalions were constituted as Companies in the Regiment. As one of the Army’s oldest units, the 2nd Infantry Regiment has participated in campaigns in nearly every major conflict, starting with the War of 1812 and Mexican-American War and continuing through the Civil War, Indian Wars, Spanish-American War, the Philippine War and World War II.

The 1st Squadron, 180th Cavalry Regiment is a formation of the United States Army, headquartered in McAlester, Oklahoma. The 104th Infantry Division was an infantry division of the United States Army. Today, it is known as the 104th Training Division (Leader Training) and based at Fort Lewis, Washington, as a training unit of the United States Army Reserve. Activated in 1921 and deployed during World War II, the division saw almost 200 days of fighting in northwestern Europe as it fought through France, Netherlands, Belgium, and western Germany, fighting back several fierce German counterattacks as it advanced through the theater throughout late 1944 and 1945. After World War II, this division was reorganized primarily as a training division for Reserve forces.
