Roussanou Monastery (Meteora, Trikala, Thessaly, Greece) is also know as Agias Varvaras Monastery. It was established (probably) around 1388 by the monks Necodemus and Benedict. Today functions as a nunnery. Open to visitors daily, except Wednesday, from 09:00-14:00 (winter) and 09:00-18:00 (summer).

This is brother Dometios. I met him at the Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) Monastery, Meteora, Greece. We talked a lot, he is a very interesting man, a peaceful, relaxed personality, seems happy with his life, confident about the road he has chosen. He has climbed almost every rock of Meteora. He gave me important directions for "secret" footpaths of Meteora. He showed great interest about my camera and photography in general. He gave me permission to take a couple of photos. Brother Dometios, lives in Agia Triada Monastery, for the last 20 years, since he was 23 y/o.
