Digital illustration drawn in Corel Painter with Smooth Airbrush, Chalks and various other Brushes. King Robert the Bruce at Bannockburn, Stirling in Scotland 1314 AD. This Battle took place between Armies from Scotland and England and resulted in a significant Victory for Bruce and the Scots. Estimates as to the size of Edward the II of England's force range from two to three times that of Bruce to only fifty percent larger. This Year, 2014, sees the 700th Anniversary of the Battle. My interpretation of this scene from Scottish History. I've tried to create an atmospheric feel.

The Year is 4327, the location: Earth. The Ashen-Rust Coloured Skies bear witness to a Planet that has succumbed to hugely increased Volcanic activity: a direct result of a restricted Atomic Conflict one hundred Years previously. The remaining Peoples of the Earth exist in a massively diminished Technological state; an age of Superstition and fear. This has led directly to worship of the Mechanids: Robots engineered prior to the Atomic Wars that have survived to wander the Planet, following programming laid down by long dead hands. Amidst crumbling Warehouses, illuminated by billowing flame, the People watch the Mechanids pass: awestruck by a connection to a World long since destroyed and fearful of Their continued presence amon...

Digital illustration drawn in Corel Painter with Smooth Airbrush during the Summer of 2013. This is the harbour at Crail, in Fife on the East Coast of Scotland. I drew this from a photograph taken by Myself in May 2013. The Harbour at Crail is a working Harbour and this image was taken at low-tide. The Scenic nature of the Village contributes towards it's popularity with Visitors to Fife and, indeed, Scotland. I first visited Crail in the 1970s and it is just as picturesque Today as 35+ Years ago.

Drawn January 2015. This is a drawing of the Lothian Chambers on George the IV Bridge in the heart of Scotland's Capital, Edinburgh. The Building currently has function rooms and houses, amongst other things, the Registrars Office. I've set this at Night, with lighted Windows: the People in the background [the Royal Mile, leading to St Giles] are drawn in Victorian period style. With the absence of Motor-cars You can see the era I'm implying this is set in.
