Dripping Springs Tank Tops

Natural Falls State Park in Oklahoma by Debra Martz Natural Falls State Park is located near the OK/Arkansas state line in the Ozark Highlands region of NE Oklahoma. It is a small park consisting of 120 acres with several hiking trails but the main feature is this cascading waterfall through rock formations. The first view of the falls is from a railed platform that juts out beyond the upper ground level. A second observation deck is located at the bottom of a narrow V-shaped valley. Scenes from the 1974 movie, "Where the Red Fern Grows" were filmed in the park. Weeping Rock Alcove View by Debra Martz After my fascination of admiring the dripping springs and hanging gardens on and around the Rock Wall at the Alcove, I turned around and was wowed! The view from the alcove is so beautiful with Observation Point, Lady Mountain, Great White Throne and the Organ being its central focus. One of my favorite short hikes was the Weeping Rock Trail; only 1/2 mile round trip but with a moderately steep climb to the Alcove. It begins in a surround of cottonwood, ash and maple trees but can become slippery at the top as there is moss on the rocks and walkway from the dripping springs. Weeping Rock Topiary by Debra Martz This one looked to have been trimmed and trained into the shape of a cat...maybe that's just me. Plus, this was not trimmed nor trained....just amazing nature.
