Enfield Cycle Co. Ltd., like many early motorcycle manufacturers, has its origins in bicycles, but it also supplied firearms parts to the British government’s Royal Small Arms Factory which is likely the source of their 'made like a gun' tagline. It created its brand name simply by combining the rather impressive-sounding 'Royal' and the name of the town in which the factory was located - Enfield, England. Their first motorcycle was essentially one of their existing production bicycles with an engine bolted to the front downtube that was produced in 1901. The company went on to create numerous models over the years, but one of the most notable ones holds the title as the longest-lived production motorcycle design in history - the Bullet.

Barry Manilow (born Barry Alan Pincus, June 17, 1943) is an American singer-songwriter, arranger, musician, producer and actor, with a career that has spanned more than 50 years. His hit recordings include "Could It Be Magic", "Mandy", "I Write the Songs", "Can't Smile Without You" and "Copacabana (At the Copa)". He recorded and released 51 Top 40 singles on the Adult Contemporary Chart, including 13 that hit number one, 28 appeared within the top ten, and 36 in the top twenty. Manilow has released 13 platinum and six multi-platinum albums. Although not a favorite artist of music critics, Manilow has been praised by entertainers including Frank Sinatra, who was quoted in the 1970s as saying, "He's next."

Swan Song Records was a London-based label that was launched on May 10, 1974. The logo that adorned the label's record center stickers featured an Icarus symbol. This was heavily based on a drawing done sometime around 1870 by American painter, William Rimmer. Rimmer’s drawing is called Evening (The Fall of Day), and is said to be a depiction of the God Apollo, though others have considered it to be a depiction of Lucifer, or Icarus. Unfortunately, nobody can ask him, so it's anybody's guess. Regardless, Swan Song ceased operations in 1983, and the label's catalog was absorbed by a larger label.

The letters "RSO" stood for the Robert Stigwood Organisation and the company's headquarters were located at 67 Brook Street, in London's Mayfair. In 1978, the label boasted an unprecedented six consecutive number-one singles on the pop charts, holding the top spot for 21 consecutive weeks. RSO would log a further 10 weeks at the number 1 position, giving the label a record of nine in one calendar year. This feat remains unduplicated by any record label to date.

The Ariel Grand Record (to give it the correct title) was produced for Messrs J. G. Graves of Sheffield, England, who sold them on a mail order basis. Graves was a huge supply warehouse which started about 1886 and, upon John Graves' death in 1945 was taken over by Great Universal Stores. The label was available from 1911 until 1938, an amazing length of time for a store label. The masters came from up to 10 different suppliers over the years, but from a dance band perspective, the most interesting ones are those from Zonophone and Parlophone, both of which are fairly common. 99% of dance band issues were pseudonymous, usually labelled "Ariel Dance Orchestra" or, sometimes, anonymous.

Kerosene pressure stove. I drew this design with the lover of classic pressure and camping stoves in mind. The stove I modeled it on is a one pint brass collapsable roarer. These stoves are called roarer burners due to their distinctive, loud and proud, noise they make. Some of the best stoves of this type were made in England and used extensively for decades in the United Kingdom and all other corners of the globe. This design features a black vector image of a stove framed by the Union Jack.
