Love the atmosphere of Baracks Passage. On the right is Henry Tudor House, a spendid timber framed building. I was told that Henry Tudor stayed in that house while his army stopped in the town on the way to fight Richard III at Bosworth in 1485. To the left very charming brick buildings used by YLB Salon Shrewsbury and The Good Life Plant Based Wholefood Cafe. It was a pretty challenging session as the aroma from Casa Naranjo Shrewsbury was enticing.

Haberdashers' Adams' Grammar School in Newport. This painting was done on the spot. At some point I had to find a shelter to protect the painting from rain.

Mitchell's Fold is a Bronze Age stone circle in south-west Shropshire. According to legend, a giant kept his magical cow here. She gave limitless quantities of milk until a malicious witch milked her dry using a sieve. As punishment for her crime, the witch was turned into stone and surrounded by other stones to prevent her escaping.

This painting was done on the street of Shrewsbury on 1st of June 2019. I planned to spend 2 hours but so many people wanted to talk to me so my session went on and on.

Network Rail Class 37, Shropshire. September 2022 A class 37 diesel locomotive in distinctive, yellow Network Rail livery heading up a goods train passing through Church Stretton station in Shropshire, England. The locomotive is believed to be number 97303 "Dave Berry", named for a former Network Rail manager. Date: 13th September 2022.

As we walked along the towpath of the Shropshire Union canal in Nantwich the sun was catching the trees showing off the gorgeous autumn colours and a lone swan swam slowly towards us probably expecting food.

An Anglo-Saxon monastery was founded here in about 680 by King Merewalh of Mercia, whose abbess daughter Milburge was hailed as a saint. Her relics were miraculously re-discovered here in 1101, attracting both pilgrims and prosperity to the priory.

In the middle of the English County of Shropshire close to the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, One of the famous Shropshire Hills 'The Wrekin' is a high mount with an Iron Age hill fort on the summit almost 20 acres at a height of more than 1300ft.
