What if George Washington took the other path when he chopped down that Cherry Tree. Instead of saying "I Can Not Tell a Lie", Let's say that Little George Washington decides to Lie and he Lies Big. So much so that his ethics and principles have been corrupted for good. As his moral character becomes Bankrupt, his family shuns him and his parents boot him onto the streets. Washington finds an alternate way of life... The life of a pirate. He eventually becomes America's Founding Pirate Father and the country becomes a Super Power by plundering the resources of other nations around the world.

This one I never even finished, but I really liked how the other one turned out so I figured I would finish it.

A few weeks ago I was watching a series called "For All Mankind" with some friends. It was an alternative history of the space race -- highly recommended if you haven't watched it yet -- and reminded me a lot of a book I read last year called "The Calculating Stars" -- again, highly recommended. Anyway, one thing led to another, and I started doodling what would SpaceX's logo would look like if it had evolved from NASA's original logos from back in the 60s and 70s. And this is the first result. Hope you like it!

Three town fathers, (Marsh, Gilman & Orne) founded 3M in Innsmouth, Massachusetts, in 1902. Originally a "mining" venture, the company moved to Arkham and began research and producing talismans in 1907. 3M finally became financially stable in 1916, in large part due to the increased demand for hexes (both protective and offensive) as part of the U.S. war effort.

Inspired by the Man in the High Castle, a symbol of resistance against the Kempentai and the Japanese Occupation of the West Coast of the USA. I've made a few other works inspired by MitHC, and whilst I find others a lot more inspirational, this one conveys a passive strength that the others lack in their belligerence. It is quietly powerful, its warmth deceiving. A setting sun in opposition to the Empire of the Rising Sun?

Mandala by MAKO DESIGN FOR U !

Ong's Hat is one of the earliest Internet-based secret history conspiracy theories. It was created as a piece of collaborative fiction (a.k.a. Incunabula) by four core individuals, dating back to the 1980s, although the membership propagating the tale changed over time. Ong's Hat is often cited as the first ARG on many lists of alternate reality games. The characters were largely based in the ghost town of Ong's Hat, New Jersey, hence the name of the project.

Inspired by the Man in the High Castle, a symbol of resistance against the Kempeitai and the Japanese Occupation of the West Coast of the USA. I've made a few other works inspired by MitHC. This one is a reimagining of graffiti spotted throughout San Francisco, and probably the rest of the Japanese Pacific States. The sinister silhouette of a man wearing a black fedora is seemingly vandalized by a red symbol. Who is the shadowy figure? Is it an allegorical kempeitai officer? Is it the Man in the High Castle himself?

Another flag mashup, this one was inspired by a good friend of mine, who grew up in Albuquerque but spent years and years living in (and working for) Chicago. Personally, I have never been to NewMexico, but have fond memories of the Windy City, the shorefront of Lake Michigan, St Patrick's day parade, the views from (then) Sears Tower. I will go to New Mexico one day. In the meantime, here's a take of what might have happened if Chicago had been located somewhat closer to Santa Fe than to the Great Lakes.
