The comic spawned a series of memes around the word "borger," which is based on a variation of the comic. Do U Want Anyfing From Macdondald, also known as Borgar, is an anti-meme based on the Can a Robot Write a Symphony scene from the 2004 American film I, Robot. Originally a popular submission on /r/okbuddyretard subreddit, the post spawned other edits based on the template, while the word "borgar" gained popularity as a punchline.

The Borger Gassers were a minor league baseball team that operated in the West Texas–New Mexico League 1937 through 1954 with a break from 1943 to 1945 due to World War II. Borger Gassers disbanded on July 16, 1954.
