My interpretation of a Byzantine icon of Saint Michael the Archangel. He is the patron saint of police officers, the military, sailors, paramedics, grocers and many other vocations, places and causes. He is one of four archangels found in both Jewish and Christian scriptures.

In the spelling of past millennia, in the pre-human theory of mythical creatures, there is an unusual reality that speaks to us of the evil that cannot be protected... Byzantium foretold it, Byzantines see it more than we do.
