This composite image features a solarized (also spelled solarised) print on the right side, and solarized paper negative print on the left side made in the traditional darkroom from Ilford HP5 film. In effect, several generations of photos were made from the negative & straight print: straight print, solarized print, paper negative, and paper negative solarized & made positive. In this case, solarization occurs when white light is turned on in the traditional darkroom for a few moments while the print is in the developer stage.
