A view of Eastbourne Pier in East Sussex on England's south coast in the style of a coloured pencil drawing. This extremely elegant pier was opened in 1870 although it wasn't completed until 1872. Two years later part of it was swept away in a storm so was rebuilt to move during rough weather. The distinctive dome which also houses the camera obscura was built in 1888. A disatrous fire in 2014 all but destroyed the pier but it was purchased, rebuilt and reopened, standing proudly once again.

The duck pond at Hampden Park in Eastbourne, East Sussex on an unusally snowy day. I was delighted to find out recently that this picture was shortlisted in the "Winter Beauty" category of the International Garden Photographer of the Year Four Seasons Competition for 2010. Taken on an Olympus MjU700 compact digital camera using the automatic settings - it was snowing too much to take my precious Canon EOS out with me!

Beachy Head Lighthouse, Eastbourne, East Sussex

This is taken with my back to Beachy Head looking towards Belle Tout Lighthouse and Birling Gap in Eastbourne, East Sussex. I went out to take photos of the sunrise, got there a bit early and got this shot of the (almost) full moon first! Taken on a Canon EOS400 DSLR camera with the Canon 18-55mm kit lens.

They were probably nowhere near the edge but due to the foreshortening of the camera lens it sure made it appear that way.
