One of my favorite films of all time, Ferngully: The Last Rainforest was a beautiful animated 90’s film with an environmentalist message featuring fairies, animals and a gorgeously rendered Australian rainforest setting.

I always find ferns a difficult subject - long and narrow. This Fishbone Water Fern (Blechnum Nudum) stood up straight and presented itself for a photo! Found this one in Ferntree Gully National Park in Victoria, Australia, but they are quite common in damp woodlands.
