Neighborhood in the central region of Los Angeles, California, notable as the home of the U.S. film industry, including several of its historic studios. Its name has come to be a shorthand reference for the industry and the people associated with it. Hollywood was incorporated as a municipality in 1903. It was consolidated with the city of Los Angeles in 1910 and soon thereafter, a prominent film industry emerged, eventually becoming the most recognizable film industry in the world.

Iconic Hollywood sign in the Santa Monica Mountains. A culture landmark overlooking Los Angles, California since 1923. It is situated on Mount Lee in the Hollywood Hills. HOLLYWOOD" is spelled out in 45-foot-tall white capital letters and is 350 feet long.

While many people have been in the service elevator, not all may have noticed this small sign located on the right side of the elevator, just behind the metal cage. Perfect for ultimate fans of the historic hotel.
