The country of Ireland. County Kerry. Not far from the town of Killarney is a national park and nature reserve. Early morning at the beginning of spring. A view of Mount Carrauntoohil from Killarney National Park. The height of the mountain is 1038 meters.

If you drive the spectacular Ring of Kerry south from Killarney in Ireland, it takes you through the Killarney National Park on up into the mountains. A stopping point as you climb up to Molls Gap is at the Ladies View, a lookout point. I captured this image on a day with more rain than not. The soft, diffused light through the clouds brought out the wonderful colours across the landscape: the distant mountains, the nearby hills, and the lonely, windswept tree. It is this that I love about this image.

Water cascading through the rocks at the Torc Waterfall in Killarney National Park. This waterfall is easily accessible via a short track from the main road, which is at the end of the famous "Ring of Kerry" (at least, if you're driving the loop counterclockwise).
