Those jellyfish reproduced in space, creating over 60,000 jellies, but the space-bred jellies weren't able to function properly when they returned to Earth. Also, there is a species of jellyfish that is biologically immortal. Bonus fact: this artwork was inspired by a jellyfish sting that hurt like hell...

Canon Rebel T3i. Ninety-five percent or more of the weight of the Moon jellyfish is water; it has no brain, eyes or heart. The whitish color of its bell or moon-shaped dome often shows shades of blue, pink or purple – color believed to depend on its diet. The four horseshoe-shaped reproductive organs can be seen in the middle of its dome. Fringe-like tentacles are around the dome. The tentacles are lined with stinging cells (nematocysts) that can be used to sting prey. The jellyfish is also coated with a sticky mucous that collects prey. The feeding tube is short and stout, with four long oral arms with frilly margins around the mouth. They move about and stay at the top by pulsations of the bell. Colorful Jellyfish

One of the most piquant and amazing moments in a short sunset is when rare rays of the setting sun illuminate the surface of the water and penetrate the topmost layers. Some of the most daring jellyfishes rise up during these hours, and pre-sunset rays pass through them. Their bodies collect this warm glow. It turns the dancing jellyfishes into living clots of coral light. Creating a surreal picture of deep blue sea with rare delicate shiny sparks.
