A back design made to accompany my "Gilead Gunslingers" front print for jersey style shirts. This work is based on Stephen Kings Dark tower series and depicts the Iconic 19 as well as the name of the gunslinger himself.

The Ministry of Truth (Newspeak: Minitrue) is the ministry of propaganda. As with the other ministries in the novel, the name Ministry of Truth is a misnomer because in reality it serves the opposite: it is responsible for any necessary falsification of historical events. However, like the other ministries, the name is also apt because it decides what "truth" is in Oceania. As well as administering "truth", the ministry spreads a new language amongst the populace called Newspeak, in which, for example, "truth" is understood to mean statements like 2 + 2 = 5 when the situation warrants. In keeping with the concept of doublethink, the ministry is thus aptly named in that it creates/manufactures "truth" in the Newspeak sense of the word.

Nineteen Eighty-Four is a rare work that grows more haunting as its futuristic purgatory becomes more real. Published in 1949, the book offers political satirist George Orwell's nightmarish vision of a totalitarian, bureaucratic world and one poor stiff's attempt to find individuality. The brilliance of the novel is Orwell's prescience of modern life—the ubiquity of television, the distortion of the language—and his ability to construct such a thorough version of hell. Required reading for students since it was published, it ranks among the most terrifying novels ever written.

Die drei Parolen der inneren Partei prangen am Ministerium für Wahrheit. Ozeanien wird mit harter Hand regiert. Die Bevölkerung unterdrückt und kontrolliert. Die Gedankenpolizei überwacht jeden Schritt der Bevölkerung. Neusprache, die von der Partei eingeführte Amtssprache, ersetzt oder streicht schädliche Begriffe wie „Gerechtigkeit“, „Moral“, „Demokratie“. Fernsehgeräte, die den ganzen Tag den Staatssender zeigen, können sämtliche Wohnzimmer akustisch und visuell überwachen – zur Erinnerung steht „Big Brother is watching you“ auf Plakaten überall in Ozeanien. Kunst wird zensiert oder verboten. Die Geschichte neu geschrieben. Freie Meinungsäußerung und Bürgerrechte gibt es schon lange nicht mehr. All my designs and designs are made by me.
