View inside the fortress of Kuelap. One of the houses having been restored. Kuelap is associated with the Chachapoyas culture, and consists of massive exterior stone walls containing the remains of more than four hundred buildings. The structure, situated on a ridge overlooking the Utcubamba Valley in northern Peru, is roughly 600 meters in length and 110 meters in width.

This image is of the trains and rolling stock of the Toronto Railway Museum, which is located in Roundhouse Park, near the CN Tower. It was an overcast but clear winter's day with just a bit of snow on the ground, I was really taken with the juxtaposition of the old railway equipment with the gleaming, modern tower buildings behind. What really made it was the appropriately named Steam Whistle Brewery, just on the right, which is in the old roundhouse building.

So why did I capture the image; well I was really taken by the juxtaposition of the old railway equipment and the very modern city behind.
