Desk And Chair is a sepia tone photographic art print of an old desk and chair. The setting is the Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott, Arizona. This desk and chair is located in one of the restored log buildings that was one of the original structures in Prescott. I used a sepia tone finish on the photograph for that old rustic look. The sepia brown tones originated with film photography as part of the process to develop the prints in the 1800’s. Today, we can recreate that same vintage look digitally. The Arizona Territorial Rose Garden is an art print I created using an impasto oil technique. This technique utilizes bright and bold brush strokes creating texture and vibrant scenes. The art print depicts The Territorial Rose Garden, located on the grounds of the Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott, Arizona. It was created and planted in 1948, then moved to its current location on the north side of the Governors Mansion in 1974. The move was so that the rose garden would be visible from the street aligning the museum grounds. This technique focuses on bold brush strokes and bright colors creating a traditional oil painting look.The inspiration behind this art print is Fort Misery, which is the oldest log building associated with the the territory of Arizona. This structure currently stands on the grounds of the Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott, Arizona. It was originally built in 1863-1864 along the banks of Granite Creek (two blocks south of the museum).
