" Saint Francis and the sermon-preaches to the birds" ( The dress is the original ). This episode belongs to the series of the Legenda maior (XII, 3) of St. Francis: "Going to the blessed Francis to Bevagna, he preached to many birds; and the exultant ones spread the hills, stretched their wings, opened their beaks, touched their tunic; and all this saw his companions waiting for him on the road. " Inspiration from the famous fresco painting by Giotto. Religious theme interpreted with the Computer Graphics 3d 2d.

The cathedral was built by Archbishop Jean Baptiste Lamy between 1869 and 1886 on the site of an older adobe church, La Parroquia (built in 1714–1717). An older church on the same site, built in 1626, was destroyed in the 1680 Pueblo Revolt. A fictionalized account of the cathedral's origins is included in Willa Cather's Death Comes for the Archbishop.
