I love summer!

Summer of love was inspired by my garden, I have some beautiful giant red poppies and orange California poppies in a flower border. when the sun is shining the colours and textures look amazing. I have used bold bright colours and I love the finished result. The work was created on canvas size 50 x50 x2 ,using acrylic paint applied with a palette knife& brush.

Another gerbera daisy from the other day. I made a paper heart cut-out hood for my macro lens and played around with it.

Mila picked me these flowers 'because she loves me' but also because she wanted me to 'make them in a picture I can put on my wall' - it is lovely that she has such faith in me, that I could take such teeny tiny flowers and turn them into something worth framing... they really were very very very small!
